Auburn Police arrest man on multiple charges

Auburn, Ala. - On March 27, 2024, Auburn Police arrested Joshua Darrell Pugh, age 24, from Auburn, AL, for warrants charging him with theft of property first degree, theft of property second degree, burglary third degree, unlawfully breaking and entering into a vehicle and two counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a call reporting a residential burglary on March 21, 2024. Officers met with a victim that stated their residence, located in the 600 block of Owens Road, was unlawfully entered by an unknown suspect. The victim stated that force was used to make entry into the residence, and multiple items were stolen.

Joshua Darrell Pugh was developed as a suspect, and he was located by police on March 27. Pugh was arrested for the charges of theft of property first degree and burglary third degree.

During the investigation, additional evidence was discovered that linked Pugh to an auto burglary that occurred on March 6, near the 600 block of Cameron Court. Pugh was additionally charged with unlawfully breaking and entering into a vehicle, theft of property second degree and two counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card.

Pugh was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $17,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
